PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTING (PAT)

Electricity at work regulations 1989 requires that employers be responsible for the electrical safety of appliances in use by their employees and members of the public. Each appliance is put through a series of tests including a visual inspection then appropriate pass or fail label applied.
